Free Jig Setup Templates
Official alignment templates for every L3D Accessories jig. Import into xTool Creative Space (XCS) or LightBurn as a background reference layer to position your artwork correctly before you engrave.
These templates are free for customers who have purchased an L3D jig. They are not the paid STL print files — those are in the Digital Downloads collection.
How to use the templates
Four steps from download to first engrave.
Step 1
Download your template
Open the Dropbox folder and download the template file for your specific L3D jig.
Step 2
Import as a reference layer
Import the file into XCS or LightBurn as a background reference layer — not as something to engrave.
Step 3
Position your design
Place your artwork on top of the template outline so it sits exactly where it needs to engrave.
Step 4
Always do a framing pass
Run a framing pass before your first engrave to confirm the laser is tracking your design correctly.
⚠️
Important
Due to camera calibration differences and manufacturing tolerances in both the materials and jigs, manual framing is still required before engraving. The template gets you close — the framing pass confirms accuracy.
