xTool Rotary Calibration Cylinder

A 3D printed stand-in for the tumbler xTool asks for when you run the dual head rotary calibration on the O1 Omni. Print it, wrap the calibration sheet round it and run the calibration.

On the dual head O1 Omni, the white layer under a rotary print can land slightly to one side of the colour on top. xTool's rotary dual head calibration fixes it, but it asks you to wrap the calibration sheet around a tumbler of a very specific size, and most of us do not have one that fits lying about.

This cylinder is that tumbler. Print it, stick the calibration sheet on, load it in the OR1 rotary and run the calibration exactly as the software asks. It then prints the test pattern, you pick the number where the two layers line up, and the offset is saved. It is the exact cylinder used in the L3D video and it dialled the offset in first time.

It doubles as a rotary test piece for the F2 Ultra UV and F2 Ultra too. Both the UV and fiber lasers mark PLA, so it is a cheap way to check rotary alignment and settings before you put a real tumbler in.

Printed size80 mm diameter x 162 mm tall
Print notesPLA, 0.2 mm layers, 3 walls, 10 to 15% infill
No supports, print it standing upright

Test Blank 60 mm

The settings test tile. A flat 60 x 60 mm plate, 2 mm thick. Print ten at once and burn one per test. Fits every xTool machine and every 3D printer.

Every new laser setting and every UV print wants a test first, and the thing you test on should be flat, cheap and always to hand. This is the small one: a 60 mm square, 2 mm thick, with nothing on it. Print a tray of them and you can run a power and speed grid on one, a colour test on another, and throw them away without a second thought.

PLA marks with diode, IR, fiber and UV lasers and takes UV print, so the same tile works on the F1, F2, the Ultra series and the O1 Omni. Print it in white or a light colour for printing onto, any colour for laser tests.

Printed size60 x 60 mm, 2 mm thick
Print notesPLA, 0.2 mm layers, 5+ top and bottom layers, 15 to 20% infill
White or light colour for printing onto, any colour for laser tests. No supports, lies flat

Test Blank 100 mm

A flat 100 x 100 mm plate, 2 mm thick. Fills the xTool F1, F1 Lite and F2 bed with a margin, and makes a coaster-sized canvas for the O1 Omni.

A 100 mm square, 2 mm thick, with nothing on it. It is sized for the 115 x 115 mm working area of the xTool F1, F1 Lite and F2, so it fills the bed with a margin for the frame outline and you can test a full-size design in one go. On the O1 Omni it is a coaster-sized canvas.

PLA marks with diode, IR, fiber and UV lasers and takes UV print. Print it in white or a light colour for printing onto, any colour for laser tests. Prints on any 3D printer.

Print notesPLA, 0.2 mm layers, 5+ top and bottom layers, 15 to 20% infill

Test Blank 180 mm

A flat 180 x 180 mm plate, 2 mm thick. The largest square a small printer such as the Bambu A1 Mini can make, and a good mid-size canvas for the O1 Omni and the Ultra series.

A 180 mm square, 2 mm thick, with nothing on it. This size exists because 180 mm is the bed of the Bambu A1 Mini and other small printers, so it is the biggest blank most people can print. It fits the O1 Omni and the 220 mm beds of the F1 Ultra, F2 Ultra and F2 Ultra UV. It is too big for the F1 and F2.

It makes a decent finished piece too. A full colour print onto a printed plate is a quick way to show what UV printing on 3D printed parts looks like, and this is the plate used in the L3D videos on exactly that.

Test Blank 200 mm

A flat 200 x 200 mm plate, 2 mm thick. Fills the xTool F1 Ultra, F2 Ultra and F2 Ultra UV bed with a margin. Needs a 256 mm or larger printer bed.

A 200 mm square, 2 mm thick, with nothing on it. It is sized for the 220 x 220 mm working area of the xTool F1 Ultra, F2 Ultra and F2 Ultra UV, so it fills the bed with a margin for the frame outline and you can test a full-size design in one go. It works as a large canvas on the O1 Omni too.

You need a 3D printer with a 256 mm or larger bed, such as the Bambu A1, P1 or X1 series. Print it in white or a light colour for printing onto, any colour for laser tests.

xTool O1 Omni

Test Blank 250 mm

A flat 250 x 250 mm plate, 2 mm thick. A proper full-size canvas for the xTool O1 Omni. Needs a 256 mm or larger printer bed.

A 250 mm square, 2 mm thick, with nothing on it. This is the big canvas for the O1 Omni: large enough for a full colour piece you would be happy to put on a wall, and a quick way to show what UV printing on 3D printed parts looks like. It is too big for the F series beds, so it is an O1 Omni blank only.

You need a 3D printer with a 256 mm or larger bed, such as the Bambu A1, P1 or X1 series. Print it in white or a light colour so the colours come through clean.

If you want to give something back

Three ways to say thanks

The files are free and they will stay free. If they have saved you a print or two and you want to give something back, these three things genuinely help.

The licence in plain English

You can

  • Print the files for your own use, on your own printers, as many times as you need
  • Use them commercially: anything you make, print on or engrave with them is yours to sell
  • Keep a personal backup of the files

You cannot

  • Share, upload or give the files to anyone else, in any form. Send them here instead, it is free
  • Sell the files or any modified version of them
  • Sell or give away printed copies of the parts themselves

The full licence is inside every download. Files are supplied as is, so always check a test print before relying on one.
