L3D jigs are designed specifically for xTool laser machines. Most jigs are built for the xTool F1, F1 Lite, and F2. A separate range is built for the xTool F1 Ultra, F2 Ultra, and F2 Ultra UV. Always check the product title and description to confirm compatibility before ordering. Machine compatibility is never generalised.

No. The F1 and F1 Ultra have different engraving areas and enclosure dimensions. Jigs designed for the F1 are not compatible with the F1 Ultra and vice versa. Each product page clearly states which machines are supported.

L3D jigs are precision-designed for specific xTool machine dimensions. They are not tested or guaranteed to work with other brands or models. If you have a different machine and want advice, contact Chris directly.

After purchase, a download link is sent to your email address. You can also access your files from your account order history. If you did not receive the email, check your spam folder and make sure you completed checkout. If you still can't find it, contact Chris with your order number.

Each product listing states the file formats included. Most digital products include SVG files for use in xTool Studio or similar software. Check the individual product page for the specific formats provided.

Download links expire after a set number of attempts or time period. If your link has expired, contact Chris with your order number and he will resend it.

The Laser Settings Library is being built with tested settings for common materials and machines. Settings are only added after Chris has personally tested them. In the meantime, check the YouTube channel for video tutorials with settings shown on screen.

Laser settings vary depending on your machine's lens condition, the specific batch of material you're using, room temperature, and focus accuracy. Always start with a test burn on a scrap piece of your material. Treat any shared settings as a starting point, not an exact prescription.

First, ensure your machine is properly calibrated and that the camera alignment in xTool Studio has been completed. Make sure the jig is sitting flat on the machine bed with no warping. If you are still getting misalignment after calibration, contact Chris with a photo and he will help diagnose the issue.

The RA3 Alignment Jig is designed as a repeatable positioning tool for consistent placement. It works with flat or near-flat items within the supported dimensions. Check the product page for full details on supported item sizes and placement guidance.

Chris primarily uses xTool Studio for setup, job positioning, and sending jobs to the machine. For design work, Inkscape (free) and Affinity Designer are commonly used. Specific software used in each tutorial is noted in the tutorial page or video description.

xTool diode machines (F1, F1 Lite, F2) engrave well on wood, leather, anodised aluminium, coated metals, slate, and dark acrylic. Galvo machines (F1 Ultra, F2 Ultra) can also engrave bare metals. Full material guides are being added to the L3D Learn section over time.

For beginners wanting a compact, enclosed diode laser, the xTool F1 or F1 Lite are popular starting points. If you want more engraving area or are doing more volume work, the F2 is worth considering. For metal engraving and higher speed, the F1 Ultra or F2 Ultra are galvo-based and significantly more capable — but at a higher price. The F1 is a diode laser. The F1 Ultra is a galvo (galvanometer) laser — a completely different technology. The Ultra is significantly faster, can engrave bare metals, and has a different working area. They are not interchangeable and use different jigs.
