Overview

This website is operated by L3D Accessories Limited ("L3D", "we", "us"). These terms of service apply to your use of www.l3daccessories.com and to every purchase you make from us. By using the site or placing an order you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under UK law, including under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

1. Who we are

L3D Accessories is the trading name of L3D Accessories Limited, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 17424505. 2. Accounts and the L3D Laser Library

You may create a free customer account, including to unlock the L3D Laser Library. You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity under your account. Information you give us must be accurate.

Creating an account means you agree to receive emails from L3D with new settings, tips and offers, as explained at signup. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email, and unsubscribing does not affect your account or library access.

3. Products and orders

All orders are subject to acceptance and availability. We may refuse or cancel an order, for example where a product was listed at an incorrect price or is out of stock; if we cancel after payment we will refund you in full. Product images are illustrative and minor variations can occur, particularly with 3D printed items where layer lines and small cosmetic marks are a normal part of the process.

4. Prices and payment

Prices are shown in the currency selected at checkout and include UK VAT where applicable. For deliveries to the EU, VAT is collected at checkout under the Import One-Stop Shop (IOSS) so there is nothing extra to pay on delivery. Payment is taken at the time of order through Shopify's payment providers.

5. Shipping and delivery

Dispatch and delivery timescales, destinations and duties handling are set out in our Shipping Policy, which forms part of these terms.

6. Returns and refunds

Returns, cancellations and refunds are governed by our Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms.

7. Digital products and licence

Digital products (STL and other design files) are delivered by email download link, normally within minutes of checkout. Nothing physical is posted.

When you buy a digital file you are buying a licence, not the file's copyright. We grant you a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to download, print and modify the file for your own use. You may use the printed jig in your own workshop, including to make and sell engraved or finished items commercially. What you may not do is resell the design in any form: you may not sell, share, publish, lend or otherwise distribute the file or any modified version of it, and you may not sell or give away printed copies of the jig, whether printed from the original file or a modified one.

By ticking the acknowledgement at checkout you expressly consent to the file being supplied immediately and you acknowledge that you lose the 14 day right to cancel once delivery has begun. For that reason we do not refund digital purchases, including accidental purchases. This does not affect your rights if a file is faulty: if a file is defective we will repair, replace or refund it as required by the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

8. The L3D Laser Library and other guidance

The L3D Laser Library, tutorials and other guidance are provided free of charge as general information. Settings are tested starting points, not guarantees. Materials, machines and calibration vary, so always run a small test on a spare piece first and supervise your machine at all times. You use published settings and guidance at your own risk, and we may add to, change or withdraw library content at any time.

9. Safety

Laser engraving and cutting equipment can cause fire, eye injury and harmful fumes. Always follow your machine manufacturer's instructions, use appropriate eye protection and ventilation or extraction, and never leave a running laser unattended. Our jigs and accessories are positioning aids only; they are not safety devices and are not toys. Keep them away from children.

10. Submissions and user content

If you send us settings, photos, reviews or other content, you confirm the content is yours to share and you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, edit and publish it in connection with L3D, with credit where practical. We may decline or remove any submission.

11. Intellectual property

All content on this site, including product designs, STL files, the Laser Library, text, photos and branding, belongs to L3D Accessories or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, scrape, republish or commercially exploit site content except as these terms allow.

12. Acceptable use

You must not use the site unlawfully, attempt to gain unauthorised access, transmit malicious code, harvest or scrape data (including bulk extraction of Laser Library content), or use the site to harass or harm anyone. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms.

13. Third party links and affiliate disclosure

The site links to third party sites, including xTool. Some links are affiliate links and we may earn a commission on qualifying purchases at no extra cost to you. We are not responsible for third party sites, their content or their policies.

14. Disclaimer of warranties

Except for the warranties implied by law that cannot be excluded, the site, the Laser Library and all guidance are provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranty of any kind. We do not warrant that published settings will suit your machine or material, or that the site will be uninterrupted or error free.

15. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded under UK law, and nothing affects your statutory rights in relation to products we sell.

Subject to that, we are not liable for loss of profits, business, goodwill or data, or for any indirect or consequential loss; and our total liability arising out of or in connection with any product or the site is limited to the amount you paid us for the product concerned, or 100 GBP if no purchase was made. In particular, we are not liable for damage to materials, workpieces or machines resulting from your use of published settings or guidance, which are starting points you apply at your own risk.

16. Indemnity

If you use our products or content in the course of a business, you agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your use of them, except to the extent caused by our own negligence or breach of these terms.

17. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page at the time of your order or use applies. Material changes take effect when posted here.

18. Severability

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest continues in full force.

19. Entire agreement

These terms, together with our Refund, Shipping and Privacy policies, are the entire agreement between you and us for use of the site and purchases from it.

20. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except that if you are a consumer elsewhere in the UK or EU you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer rules and courts of the place where you live.
