F1 Ultra + coated metal: common questions

Will these settings work on my brand of tumbler?

Coating thickness varies between brands and even colours, so treat these as tested starting points. Run a small test spot somewhere hidden first, then adjust power in small steps until the coating removes cleanly.

Why do some recipes mention a clean pass?

A lower power second pass sweeps away coating residue left in the engraving, which lifts the contrast and saves scrubbing. Where a recipe needs one, it is noted on the card.

Why do my results look different to yours?

Materials vary between batches and suppliers, machines drift, and focus matters. Treat every number here as a proven starting point, run a small test first, then adjust in small steps.
